Iced Cofee, Fedora and my Mac Mini

Yesterday I purchased a Mac Mini. When these first came out I really wanted one, but thought I’d wait until after I got mallied to get one. However, yeserday I went to FirstTech in Minneapolis to return a failing 160GB external LaCie brand drive for repair. They were having a trade-in sale. So I traded in my old G4 for a handsome $250 credit and purchased a Mac mini with superdrive. Granted, I will need to get a RAM upgrade for it and a firewire hub… but this machine is so cool. Matt Sparby came over to help me get it setup and also help me a little with my fedora install. We had a blast. That evening we picked up a Davanni’s deep dish pizza and had margaritas. Heather was painting (artistically–not the house) and baking a cake but we made sure to keep her glass full too. 🙂

Anyway, I LOVE this new machine. And my new Fedora server will finally be complete soon too so we can try out some new blogging software.

This morning Heather and I enjoyed some sun and cleaned up the house a bit. I made coffee and had cake and coffee for breakfast with Heather on the deck. We both ate raisins as a mid morning snack. I finished some laundry and Heather is doing her laundry as I type. I’m currently enjoying an iced coffee and listening to the Moulin Rouge soundtrack on my new Mac. Later we’ll be off to Heather’s cousin Katie’s place for some dinner with the family.

My Blog Headers

When I first started writing my blog I thought I wanted to have a tagline that would define my site. I wanted it to be obscure and funny and so I created the tagline “It’s better than blog… it’s good.” It’s a little nod to Ren and Stimpy and was to define the type of content you would find here.

Though, not all of my content is necessarily “good”.

Later I began to realize my need to be more creative. So I started changing the new headers to have different taglines. As a result I’m going back and editing some of my blog headers to make them a bit more creative. I’ve also made a link to all of my current blog headers which is located in the nav bar to the left under ‘I made these’. If you’d like–have a look at them.
