My server went -=bleah=-. Much like my face on today’s graphic–which is actually the same as yesterday’s because the script did not execute as my server has been off for more than 12 hours.
We had two short power spikes yesterday after I got home from work. I didn’t even think to check the server. So today I ran home for lunch and on teh way I stopped at Microcenter and bought a 60 Minute APC Battery Backup. Though with the load I’ve plugged into it–I’ll likely only get 20 minutes of backup power. At least with short outages like yesterday, I won’t have any issues.
I’ve been meaning to buy a UPS for awhile now–like 5 years. I finally have one. I hope it does the trick.
