“But why,” some say, “the moon?”

I went shopping for records about a month ago and stumbled upon this old 45 from 1969 entitled: Commemmorative Record of Apollo 11 Flight – First Man on the Moon July 1969. It is narrated by Hugh Downs and contains excerpts of actual audio from the moon landing including, “One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind!” as well as John F. Kennedy’s speech which exclaims, “We choose to go to the moon!”. I scanned the cover and managed to get the audio cleanly imported. I then converted it to high quality AAC for my audio collection. I also converted it to a lower quality MP3 for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

  1. Great quality on that. Would you mind importing that war of the worlds record I have? I don’t even have a record player but I’d like to listen to it.
